Legendary WGNO Sports Director Ed Daniels has died on Friday, Aug. 16, three weeks after suffering a heart attack in California. Ed was in the Los Angeles area to cover the New Orleans Saints’ training camp. Ed was an incredible member of the 106.1 The Ticket broadcasting team. He spent his Saturday mornings for the better part of three decades co-hosting the Three Tailgaters show on a variety of frequencies – most recently at 106.1 The Ticket – with his high school and college classmate, Ken Trahan. Our condolences and prayers go out to Ed’s family, friends, viewers and listeners.
